Guide On How To Move From Nigeria To Europe
This is a topic most Nigerians will happily hop on. Its on record that the number of Nigerians who tend to migrate from their country to European countries in search of higher paying jobs or better life keep increasing by the year. Many more Nigerians have been recorded to have died while trying to illegally travel to developed European countries either through the sea or deserts, especially those who can’t afford the cost of legally make such moves.
The Uk countries, Germany, Spain, and other developed European countries have lately been the center of attraction to most graduates who seem to secure a good paying job. Most African countries especially Nigeria tends to lose it’s citizens to these developed countries yearly and it’s something that seems hard to end anytime soon.
Many things about these European countries has contributed in making it attractive to other country’s residents, numerous things ranging from their better quality of life, good schools, homely environments, good paying jobs etc.
It’s really a life-changing decision to travel from Nigeria to any European countries these days. With the low job vacancies and harsh standard of living in Nigeria, it’s best considered that relocating to Europe where there are much vacancies and need for skilled laborers and professionals will be the wisest step to take.
Deciding to travel out of Nigeria to those European countries is the easiest step to take, making it happen by getting the required funds and visa application is the tough part of it. In this article, we will guide you on how to go about it all and things to know and put in place to make the trip a success.
Is Leaving Nigeria To Europe A Wise Decision ? And Why?
The answer to the above question is as follows. If you can pull out the finance required for such a move then, it’s a good decision to make but if you can’t afford it at the moment, then i urge you to stay put in your country, grind hard and come up with the required amount. For those in Nigeria who haven’t had the privilege to visit any European country, believe me when i say it’s a cool place to be.
The quality of life over there is way higher to what we have here in Nigeria, ranging from the schools there, healthcare centers, security systems, social life and every other lifestyle you can think of, they’re all higher than what we have here.
Some European counties tends to have a high cost of living than others but that shouldn’t be a reason to scare you off because alongside the high cost of living comes high paying jobs to fund the lifestyle.
How To Plan Your Move
You must have decided to leave Nigeria To Europe before planning on how to make your move. I feel that before making such a move, every good thinking person should first think of how to get a good job to help sustain him or her over there. Seeking for a job first should be the very first step to take . I advice you first get a job from a European Employer while in Nigeria before applying for a work permit because that’s the only way your work permit request would be considered. Avoid those advisers who would want you to get there first before applying for a job, that process would only lead you to spending the little money on you and you might as well get deported on the process.
Getting a job in Europe isn’t an easy process as you would think but it isn’t as hard as getting a job in Nigeria. There are some means and ways to get that perfect job for you. Google can be of good help on this particular issue, there are so many European job portals you can equally check on or better still you can go through some legit Nigerian companies who specializes on getting jobs and other European permits for Nigerian citizens.
When applying for a job in Europe, its advisable to submit your resume to more than one employer and you should also apply for more than one position in in each company but it should also be a position that suits your skills and profession . Make sure you chose a job in which you match the employer’s requirement to make it easier for you to get employed fast.
How To Apply For A European Work Permit As A Nigerian
There are lists of document you need to submit as a Nigerian or a citizen of a non-EU country before applying for a European work permit. First move will be to apply for a blue card that’s if you’ve already been offered a job in the said country, and then you have to submit a valid and acceptable passport, a medical insurance and education document and lastly you must provide an employment letter from your European employer which would show a salary level which would cover your cost of living over there in Europe.
You can visit the website of the country which you’re relocating to, to get the cost of it’s visa and other added information. I don’t think there are any hidden charges to be scared of, the cost of whatever thing you need to pay for are well listed and explained in the country’s website.
NOTE; If you own or drive a car in Nigeria, it doesn’t mean you can drive a car over there with your Nigerian license and experience. You will be required to take a driving class over there and you must get their own license before you could drive.
